Explain the business goal
Describe who needs to do what, and in which situation. Include the expected outcome as well as the feature name.
Define what is included and excluded
Separate the issues that must be addressed now from later improvements. List dependencies on third-party services.
Define how to verify the result
Use specific pages, actions and outcomes to check requirements. Avoid descriptions such as “better” or “faster” without a way to compare them.
Agree on how changes are handled
When requirements or the environment change, confirm the impact before deciding on additional quotes and scheduling.
Review delivery item by item
Check completed work, outstanding issues and support terms against the accepted scope rather than redefining the goal.
